The Actor’s Toolbox

Join Ashley Byerts, Creative Director of the Carlisle Theatre, and Megan Kane-Mangol, Speech Pathologist at Harmony in Motion, for the 2nd annual Actor’s Toolbox workshop. This free 6-week workshop is intended for persons living with Parkinson’s Disease to address speech clarity, vocal strength, and physical mobility in the context of the dramatic arts.
Participants will be guided through structured exercises by various professionals from both the Carlisle Theater and from Harmony in Motion as a creative approach to engaging communication and physical skills. At the final session, attendees are encouraged (but not required) to use the skills learned in a short performance such as reading aloud, telling a story, or performing a skit.
